Elections Inspectors

Overview

The City Clerk is also responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training Election Inspectors to work at the polls on election day.

Working as an Election Inspector

  • Inspectors work from 6:00 am until dismissed by the Chairperson or City Clerk, usually between 10:00 pm and 12:00 midnight, depending on the election.
  • The rate of pay is $10 per hour.
  • To qualify to be an Election Inspector, you must be a registered voter of Oakland County and at least 16 years old.
