Downtown Development Authority Events

The DDA partners with the downtown merchants and local organizations to sponsor many great events in downtown, including the following:
  • Farmers' Market (May through October)
  • Soap Box Derby (June)
  • River Day (June)
  • Movies in the Moonlight (July & August)
  • Sidewalk Sales (July)
  • Trick- or- Treat at the Farmers' Market (October)
  • Lagniappe and The Big Bright Light Show (Monday before Thanksgiving)

Community Events


Many community groups work to organize various events. Some of these events include :
  • Spring Gallery Stroll (Hosted by PCCA)
  • Heritage Festival (Hosted by Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve the Saturday before Memorial Day)
  • Music in the Park (Hosted by The Kiwanis Club in June & July)
  • Rockin' Rods 'n Rochester (Hosted by The Lions' Club in August)
