b. July 20, 1761 in Goshen, Connecticut d. August 30, 1840. Sec. OG-20. He served in the American Revolution in the Sixth Connecticut Regiment under Colonel Parsons. He married Susanna Sherman (1765-1839) in Connecticut. She was a niece of Roger Sherman, a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
