8/27/21: On Oak, curb and gutter installation will begin on Tuesday 8/31, lasting approximately 3 days. Inconveniences can be expected, There will be short time frames where driveway access may become restricted due to the concrete and underground utility installation on each street. 8/23/21: DiPonio (the project contractor) will complete preparation for the subsequent installation of curb and gutter on Oak St. Notice will be given to residents on Oak in advance of the installation of the curb and gutter on Oak, which would occur earliest towards the end of the week, if not the week of 8/30.
8/17/21: DiPonio (the project contractor) will continue with roadway excavation, installation of aggregate base and underdrain on Oak Street. Towards the later part of the week, concrete installation will begin with the curb and gutter along Oak. Inconveniences can be expected, there will be short time frames where driveway access may become restricted due to the water main installation. Traffic will be maintained for local traffic only, and access will be cleared accordingly at the end of the work day.
8/9/21: DiPonio (the project contractor) will continue with the removal of concrete curb and flatwork throughout Oak Street. Also, DiPonio will begin roadway excavation and installation of aggregate base. Inconveniences can be expected, there will be short time frames where driveway access may become restricted due to the water main installation. Traffic will be maintained for local traffic only, and access will be cleared accordingly at the end of the work day.
8/2/21: DiPonio will continue with the installation of storm sewer on Oak Street beginning Monday, 8/2. Following the completion of the sewer, they will begin concrete curb and flatwork removal throughout the length of Oak in the middle of the week. This is in preparation for the road excavation and eventual replacement, anticipated to commence towards the end of the week. Inconveniences can be expected, there will be short time frames where driveway access may become restricted due to the water main installation. Traffic will be maintained for local traffic only, and access will be cleared accordingly at the end of the work day.
7/28/21: All water main installation, tie-ins and water services are complete on Oak. DiPonio is working on North Oak this week (between University and Sixth), they are removing old water main and installing the storm sewer. They will move back to South Oak next week (Second St. to University) to work on old water main removal and storm sewer installation, they will be at that location for several weeks.
7/23/21: DiPonio (the project contractor) will continue with the installation of the storm sewer and water main on Oak St, Monday morning 7/26. Inconveniences can be expected, there will be short time frames where driveway access may become restricted due to the underground utility installation. Traffic will be maintained for local traffic only, and access will be cleared accordingly at the end of the work day.
7/19/21: Diponio Contracting will be doing another water main tie-in tomorrow on Third and Oak. Residents on W. Third between Wilcox and Pine may experience a water disruption anytime between 8am-3pm tomorrow, 7/20.

7/16/21: The City has approved Saturday work and the water main tie-in has been rescheduled for tomorrow, July 17th on Oak and Fourth St. Residents on Fourth between Wilcox and Pine will have a water disruption tomorrow between 9am-3pm.

7/9/21: Residents on Oak Street between 4th and University will experience a water disruption today while Diponio completes a connection to the new water main. A notice has been handed out to the residents on that block as of yesterday (about 12 homes).
The water disruption may happen anytime between 8am – 2pm on Friday, 7/9. With all water disruptions, residents may experience some iron in their water supply. If any rusty water issues arise, please flush using an outside hose until it clears.
6/25/21: DiPonio (the project contractor) will continue with the installation of the proposed water main on Oak St, Monday morning 6/28, heading north to University, and through to 6th street. They will continue with storm sewer replacements at various locations on Oak St. Inconveniences can be expected, There will be short time frames where driveway access may become restricted due to the water main installation. Traffic will be maintained for local traffic only, and access will be cleared accordingly at the end of the work day.
6/18/21: DiPonio (the project contractor) will begin the installation of the proposed water main on Oak St, beginning at 2nd street, Monday morning 6/21. they will continue with the water main work throughout the week, heading north to University, and through to 6th street. Inconveniences can be expected, there will be short time frames where driveway access may become restricted due to the water main installation. Traffic will be maintained for local traffic only, and access will be cleared accordingly at the end of the work day.
6/17/21: The cold milling on Oak Street is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 6/15. Local residents on Oak can expect various inconveniences. There will be short time frames where driveway access may become restricted while the milling takes place in front of the home. Traffic will be maintained for local traffic only, and access will be cleared accordingly at the end of the work day. The work will commence around 7:00 am and will start from 2nd Street heading north. The water main installation to start right after, weather permitting.
6/7/21: A letter was mailed to residents as of June 3rd regarding upcoming construction. A copy of the letter can be found here.
6/3/21: Traffic control devices have been delivered to Mahaffy and Oak street, however the construction is not starting for a few more weeks. The details for construction will be communicated to residents via email, website, and door hangers soon.
