Meetings
Zoning Meetings are open to the public and scheduled on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 pm, except for holidays. Meeting dates and times are subject to change. Please check the City Calendar (tab next to the "News and Announcements" tab on the home page of the City's website) for the latest updates. Meetings take place at Rochester City Hall Council Chambers, 400 Sixth Street, Rochester.

About the Board
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) consists of seven (7) members, Five (5) regular members and two (2) alternate members, each appointed by the City Council for a term of three (3) years.
An alternate member may be called to serve in the place of a regular member for the purpose of attaining a quorum, or when the ZBA is considering a case in which a regular member has abstained for reasons of conflict of interest.
The ZBA exercises the powers provided by Act 207 of 1921, as amended, and the Rochester Zoning Ordinance.
The ZBA is authorized to grant variances in certain specific cases of practical difficulty or hardship where the terms of the variance will not be contrary to the public interest.
